REAL ID Compliant Driver’s License Saga in Missouri

As you may have heard, the TSA is moving to an updated requirement for travelers at airports.  It will be required to have a REAL ID compliant driver’s license in order to get through security.  As it stands right now, Missouri is a state that does not meet these requirements.  This means that starting in 2018, travelers from Missouri who wish to use their driver’s license as a valid form of identification will be turned away.  There are, of course, other options.

Other Acceptable Forms of Identification:

  1. U.S. Passports
  2. U.S. Department of Homeland Security traveler cards
  3. U.S. Military IDs

Missouri residents also have the option of obtaining a REAL ID compliant license through the Missouri Department of Revenue.
